Desiigner Finally Drops “Timmy Turner”
Its finally here… the much anticipated joint “Timmy Turner” from the “Panda” screamer – Desiigner. The track is produced by Mike Dean.
About a month ago, Desiigner teased us with snippets of this here song. I ain’t gonna lie… I was hyped! After listening to the song… my first deduction is thus
Mike Dean is dope. The song’s towering synths suddenly dissolve about two-thirds in, giving the chorus an entirely new, “Runaway”-esque complexion. It’s almost as if, over the course of the song, Tiimmy Turner ascends from hell to heaven.
That said, moving on to Desiigner’s bars and energy… um… I’m still on the fence with this one. The feeling I got… the rush of adrenaline I got from listening to “Panda”… i did not and still haven’t gotten it (even after quadruple replays) from “Timmy Turner”.
Oh well… I guess this is what you get when you don’t release your song on time and hype it too much. #JustSaying
